Multi Theme Focus May 23 to Jun 21, 2023

1. Phoenix Rising Focus - Befriending Your Body

This month we take the Phoenix Rising Theme of Befriending Your Body as our key focus.

In your Art of Flourishing Course, the first module is focused here.  In this module, you'll be able to explore several informational videos, articles, and practices. It does not matter if you've engaged in this work before - now, you are doing it from the lens of your personal and professional flourishing.

So pay attention to those times you feel like you ARE Flourishing this month.  Notice the body response.  The same for when you are seriously NOT Flourishing.

Befriending Body practices are important in supporting your Flourishing.  So be sure to engage at least one each week for the next four weeks.

2. Spiritual Focus - The Brahmavirharas - Loving Kindness

The Dalai Lama is often quoted as saying - "Whenever possible, be kind.  And it's always possible."

Loving kindness is practiced by most people who Flourish in life and in their professional lives.  How do you engage in loving-kindness?  This month, remind yourself to engage it at least once daily, if possible.  (And it is possible. .haha).

3. Seasonal Focus - The Summer Solstice

This occurs on June 21st, the longest day of the year in our Northern Hemisphere.  It is also the height of the growing season in the temperate zone where most of us live.  It's a great time to reflect on "growth" as experienced during this season and to focus it inward.  What have we planted for ourselves on the inside and how is it growing?  Is it getting enough light?  Water?  Fertilizer?

How is this growth affecting us?  Is it difficult to maintain, and what adjustments might be required if so?

4. Your Focus - You Choose - Is there a special focus for you this month?

At this time in your life, is there a particular theme that your Flourishing takes or is drawn to?  If so, spend some time exploring, articulating, and engaging it.
